Bilateral Cooperation Intensifies Between Burkina Faso and Ghana


Accra: The Minister of State, Emile ZERBO, in consultation with his Ghanaian counterpart from the Ministry of the Interior, engaged in a significant working session aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation between Burkina Faso and Ghana. The meeting took place on March 31, 2026, in Accra and involved key discussions on enhancing the security and efficiency of trade corridors between the two nations.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabe delegation was led by Mr. Emile ZERBO, Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, and included important figures such as the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Ghana, H.E. David KABRE, and the Directors General of various transport and logistics organizations. The discussions centered on the critical issue of securing trade corridors, which is vital for the safe and seamless flow of trade and the protection of users.



The Ghanaian Minister of the Interior, Mr. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, supported by the Ambassador of Ghana to Burkina Faso, H.E. Kenneth AKIBATE, emphasized the commitment of their technical teams to implement effective solutions addressing the concerns raised during the meeting. This initiative underscores a mutual commitment to enhancing security cooperation and ensuring safer and more efficient trade routes, thereby benefiting the national economies of both countries.
