Bielmera Semi-Industrial Gold Mine Construction Progresses with APEC’s Support

Midebdo: The Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC), Mr. Karim Traor©, accompanied by a delegation, conducted a field visit to the BielmEra semi-industrial gold mine in the commune of Midebdo, Dj´r´ region. This visit was part of the regular monitoring of projects financed by community shareholding.

According to Burkina Information Agency, on site, the Managing Director observed not only the complete arrival of the plant equipment but also the significant progress of the extraction work, already marked by a substantial stockpile of ore awaiting processing. Mr. Traor© assured that activities financed by popular shareholding are regularly monitored, with reports to be provided on ground developments. He emphasized that the project aligns with the vision of Burkina Faso's President, His Excellency Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor©, to ensure that the mining boom benefits the citizens.

Mr. Maurice Zongo, Managing Director of BielmEra Mining SA, expressed satisfaction with the progress. He indicated that extraction continues, with more than 30,000 tons of ore stockpiled, pending the completion of processing equipment installation. He announced that installations would soon be finished, leading to the testing phase, and encouraged local trust in APEC.

The visit underscores the authorities' political will to finance projects using national resources, aiming to enhance local resources, create jobs, and strengthen Burkina Faso's economic sovereignty.
