BEPC 2026 Examinations Commence in Ganzourgou with Over 3,000 Candidates

Ganzourgou: The written, oral, and practical examinations for the Junior High School Certificate (BEPC), 2026 session, have begun, marking a significant event for students across the country. In Ganzourgou province, 3,026 candidates are set to take part, distributed across 83 examination rooms. Local education authorities have expressed their readiness to ensure a smooth process for all involved.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Provincial Directorate of Secondary, Vocational and Technical Education (DPESFPT) reported that 942 boys and 2,084 girls are registered for the exams. The candidates will be examined in 41 centers, grouped into 13 examination boards, with the support of 166 invigilators and 63 substitutes. Barth©l©mie Boudaon©, Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Ganzourgou, confirmed that all preparations are in place for the exams.

Boudaon© reassured the public about the state of readiness, mentioning that financial, human, and material resources have been mobilized effectively. He noted that no major issues have been encountered, and organizational arrangements are set to ensure the exams proceed without any hitches.

The director addressed the candidates, congratulating them on their dedication and encouraging them to approach the exams with confidence. He emphasized that the exam content aligns with what has been taught in class and advised students to remain disciplined and organized.

Boudaon© also acknowledged the dedication of educators who maintained continuity in teaching despite challenges, such as the attraction of gold mining in the province. He urged parents to support their children emotionally during this period, recommending positive reinforcement to alleviate stress.

In terms of candidate distribution, Zorgho municipality leads with the highest number of candidates at 935, followed by Boudry with 544 and Mogt©do with 510. Kogho municipality, among the eight in the province, has the lowest number of candidates, totaling 93.
