Bazèga School Excellence 2024 Celebrates Over Fifty Awardees at Kombissiri.

Bazèga: The provincial directorate of preschool, primary and non-formal education of Bazèga recognized the achievements of more than fifty individuals at the 2024 School Excellence Day, which took place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in Kombissiri.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was organized under the theme “Contribution of the school for a society of peace and cohesion in a context of security crisis.” A total of fifty-five awardees, including learners, students, teachers, and educational support structures from various educational levels, were honored for their exceptional performances during the 2023-2024 school year.

Claude Ouédraogo, the provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education of Bazèga, extended his congratulations to the winners, emphasizing that academic excellence should not only focus on achieving the best academic results but also on nurturing children to become responsible citizens who can contribute to societal cohesion.

Dénni, Secretary General of the province of Bazèga, representing the High Commissioner of the province and president of the day, also commended the winners and all educational stakeholders in the province for their efforts in combating ignorance.

The event was sponsored by Eric Tapsoba, a member of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, and Ousmane Ouédraogo, an economic operator. Both sponsors praised the winners and urged education stakeholders in the province to continue promoting excellence in their roles.

In addition to receiving various cash and in-kind prizes, some winners were also given letters of congratulations. The province recorded an 85.46% success rate in the CEP, 67.92% in entering the sixth grade, and 73.28% success in non-formal education.
