Bazega High Commissioner Oversees National Animal Vaccination Campaign

Bazega: The High Commissioner of the Bazega province, Tene Justine Kientega/Ilboudo, conducted a supervisory visit on December 20, 2025, to Bissiri in the commune of Kombissiri as part of the 2025-2026 national animal vaccination campaign. The objective was to ensure the smooth running of the campaign on the ground.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the purpose of this supervisory visit was to ensure the effective implementation of the vaccination campaign targeting priority animal diseases and zoonoses. This visit allowed Ms. Kientega/Ilboudo to observe the mobilization of technical teams, livestock farmers, and all stakeholders engaged in the vaccination efforts.

During her visit, she took the opportunity to encourage those involved and collect information on any challenges faced in the field to seek solutions. The head of the Bazega province praised the dedication of the decentralized technical services of the Ministry of Animal Resources and urged livestock farmers to actively participate in the campaign to enhance prevention and control of animal diseases and zoonoses for the benefit of communities.

The 2025-2026 vaccination campaign is part of a national initiative to combat priority animal diseases and ensure sustainable protection of livelihoods. This effort extends to all municipalities within the province.
