Baz¨ga’s To©c© Basic Education District Celebrates Student Cultural Talents with Grand Finale

Baz¨ga: The cultural talents of students from the commune of To©c© were recognized and rewarded at the final of the cultural activities competition held on May 8, 2026, at the To©c© Centre 'A' primary school. The ceremony took place in the presence of community leaders, educational stakeholders, and the residents of the commune.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the closing ceremony of the 2026 session of cultural activities of the Basic Education District (CEB) of the commune lived up to all expectations for this edition. Under the admiring gaze of the driving forces, education stakeholders, and the population of the municipality, the students from 21 schools taking part in this competition competed with great enthusiasm in the different disciplines. These disciplines included a parade, ballet, traditional dance, and a recital.

The head of the CEB, Ousmane Congo, was pleased with the quality of the students' performances and hoped that this competition would be a factor of unity for the benefit of the district. The second vice-president of the special delegation of the municipality of To©c©, Alidou Ou©draogo, expressed his satisfaction with the event, which he believes serves as a springboard for promoting culture. He reaffirmed the special delegation's commitment to supporting cultural activities within the municipality.

For his part, the ceremony's patron, Donatien Zongo, a native of the town, expressed his pride in the students' performances. He congratulated the organizers for their efforts in allowing the students to express themselves outside the classroom. When the results were announced, it was the Goudou school that took the lion's share by winning first prizes in three disciplines, namely traditional dance, parade, and ballet.
