Baz¨ga Provincial Police Directorate Highlights Achievements and Challenges at New Year’s Ceremony

Baz¨ga: The Baz¨ga Provincial Directorate of the National Police celebrated the New Year by presenting their activity report for 2025 during a flag-raising ceremony in Kombissiri. This event also allowed the staff to express their best wishes to the provincial director.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony witnessed the staff of the Baz¨ga DPPN extending greetings to their provincial director, Chief Commissioner of Police Saidou Ouoba, while reviewing the previous year's activities. The event was attended by the Regional Director of the National Police for Nazinon, Divisional Police Commissioner Jo«l Henri Sanou.

On behalf of the Baz¨ga DPPN staff, Joseph Kabor©, the District Police Commissioner of Doulougou, conveyed best wishes for a successful 2026 to the provincial director. He praised the director's leadership, listening skills, and efforts to improve work conditions and operational efficiency.

Kabor© reflected on the challenges faced in 2025, emphasizing the security context that demanded vigilance and commitment. Despite these challenges, notable achievements were recorded, including the development of community policing and successful operations such as the arrest of suspected terrorists and seizure of illicit goods.

The ceremony highlighted several key accomplishments, such as ensuring safe end-of-year celebrations and strengthening collaboration with various security volunteers and the local community. Kabor© reaffirmed the commitment of the staff to continue their efforts in 2026.

Provincial Director Saidou Ouoba extended his greetings to colleagues and regional directors, commending the staff's dedication. He urged them to embrace ongoing security reforms, including the ISOSQ vision, to enhance operational efficiency and community engagement.

The event also featured a message from Director General Thierry D. Tuina, who congratulated the staff on their efforts against terrorism and urban insecurity and emphasized continued innovation in security reforms.

Henri Jo«l Sanou, Nazinon's DPPN Director, praised the Baz¨ga staff's outstanding performance and encouraged continued collaboration with the community while extending his New Year's greetings.
