Minister Bassolma Bazié said on Friday his confidence in Burkina’s victory over the terrorists. He then urged the people to accept “without murmurs”, the sacrifices requested, despite the difficult living conditions.

“We know that people are suffering. But to go to victory, there are some of our brothers and sisters who pay cash on the different fronts in terms of blood, in terms of sweat, in terms of tears. But we are still moving forward, ”launched Bassolma Bazié.

The Minister of State in charge of the Public Service, spoke yesterday Friday, during the release of 936 new police officers, called to participate in the reconquest of the territorial integrity of Burkina, violated for eight years by terrorists.

“We are moving forward surely but very valiantly, counting on everyone of the Burkinabè people to ensure that when there is a call for sacrifice, it should not be done with murmurs”, added Bassolma Bazié.

On July 20, 2023, new taxes on telephone services, renewal of private television and land transfers in areas outside housing estates came into force in order to replenish the Counter-Terrorism Fund.

Some citizens on social networks have expressed their exasperation, because a few months ago the institution of similar taxes.

“We certainly know that it is difficult, but these sacrifices which must be made, if it were to allow us to tell all of our brothers who are in the various cemeteries to get up, it was going to be done with heart and joy, smile on their lips.

But while bowing to their memories and all of these brothers and sisters who are still alive, including the rest of us, it is not by ignoring that life is difficult that we continue to launch these calls for more sacrifices. So that the people of Burkina Faso understand it in this sense, ”explained Bassolma Bazié.
