Bassitenga: The new High Commissioner of the province of Bassitenga, Mr. Saidou Guigma, visited the provincial correspondent of the Burkina Information Agency (AIB) on Tuesday as part of an introductory visit. Mr. Guigma was accompanied by the Secretary General of the province, Ms. Esther Tamalgo, and the head of the protocol department, Mr. Theophile Noba.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner stated that this visit aims to strengthen collaboration with the public press and to acknowledge the important role played by the AIB in promoting the actions of the administration and local authorities. “We are in a dynamic of popular and progressive revolution, and with your support, we want to highlight public action,” he said, while inviting the correspondent to continue to support all public services in their various activities.

For his part, the provincial correspondent of AIB, Mr. Lassane Ouedraogo, welcomed the approach of the high commissioner, which he described as original. “I receive this visit with great humility, because the rule is generally that it is the citizens who go to the administrators,” he said, before promising to faithfully transmit the information to the hierarchy.

As a reminder, Mr. Saidou Guigma was officially installed in his position as High Commissioner of the province of Bassitenga on December 17, 2025.
