Banwa Students Commit to Civic Engagement at Education Launch

Banwa: On Thursday, May 8, 2025, students at the Banwa Provincial High School (LPB) pledged to respect the rules and actively engage in becoming model students. This was during the launch of the first edition of the 72 Hours of Civic Education.

According to Burkina Information Agency, as part of the implementation of civic education teaching in secondary schools, the Banwa Provincial High School (LPB) launched its first edition of 72 hours dedicated to civic education under the theme: "Civics and citizenship in schools." The first act of these days was the raising of colors followed by a sanitation operation at the CMA of Solenzo.

The principal of the Provincial High School, Wendwoga Kabr©, emphasized that civic education is the cornerstone of a harmonious and prosperous society. Mr. Kabr© affirmed that civic education "shapes responsible citizens," aware of their duties and committed to building a united nation, hence the organization of these days.

During these 3 days of civic education, students will conduct several activities such as the raising of colors, sanitation, conferences, football, theater, traditional dances, and awareness-raising sketches in order to explore, learn, and celebrate the values of civics and citizenship.

Civic education, according to Principal Kabr©, is not just a concept but a concrete action that everyone must carry out.
