Solenzo: The women of the city of Solenzo gave a clean sweep to some services on Friday morning, March 6, 2026, in preparation for the commemoration of the 169th International Women's Day. It was around 8 a.m. that the women gathered at the prefecture square in Solenzo with brooms and rakes. While some sweep, others pile up the garbage and set it on fire. From the prefecture to the water and forestry service and from Sofitex to the livestock service, women have made the environment clean.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial coordinator for women, Fatoumata Bintou Wibga, stated that this activity aims to kick off the commemoration of their day through this clean-up. "We wanted to make the environment healthy because where there is woman, there is cleanliness, that is why we launched an appeal to all women to clean certain services while waiting for March 8 for other activities," she stressed.

The High Commissioner of Banwa Province, Sanfi©nal© Joseph Sirima, congratulated the women for this initiative and invited them to continue this act of patriotism in their neighborhoods and homes in order to stop certain diseases.
