Banwa: Muslim Faithful in Solenzo Pray for the Return of IDPs and Peace

Banwa: Muslim worshippers in Solenzo prayed this Monday, March 31, morning at the Grand Mosque Square, in the presence of administrative authorities. Muslims in Solenzo prayed for the return of IDPs and peace throughout Banwa province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, El Hadj Mohamed Konat©, who led the prayer, expressed the community’s heartfelt plea: “We pray to Allah for the safe return of our displaced brothers. We ask Allah for peace for the province and strength for our FDS and VDP.” The gathering drew several hundred people who assembled at the Grand Mosque of Solenzo around 8:00 a.m.

The prayer, led by the imam at 9:00 a.m., concluded with the offering of blessings to the population, administrative authorities, FDS, and VDP. High Commissioner Sanfi©nal© Joseph Sirima attended the prayer with members of the police, gendarmerie, water and forestry service, and a representative of BIR 18. He emphasized the importance of the occasion, stating, “We came to encourage our Muslim brothers and pray with them so that the Lord gives us more stability, that there is a lot of understanding between the different social classes and also to implore God that the 30 days of penance bring them divine grace and peace in the country.”

Yakouba Y©, president of the FAIB, urged the Muslim faithful to extend their generosity by sharing their meals with brothers and sisters of other religions.
