Banwa High Commissioner Urges Collective Discipline for Development in 2026

Banwa: The High Commissioner of Banwa Province, Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, called on the population to redouble their efforts, collective discipline and hard work in 2026 to meet the challenges of development, on the occasion of the first national flag-raising ceremony of the year. Leaders from various social strata across the province attended the first flag-raising ceremony on Monday, January 5th, in Solenzo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Sirima congratulated the entire population of Banwa for their resilience and called for massive, conscious, and responsible participation from all sons and daughters in Burkina Faso's revolutionary movement. The High Commissioner emphasized civic vigilance, urging everyone to embrace a spirit of profound change, peace, and social cohesion so that the entire province can remain strong and develop.

"I hope that 2026 will be a year of victories, progress, stability, and strengthened provincial unity. Let us remain steadfast, united, determined, and disciplined, for a conscious and mobilized people is an invincible force," concluded the province's top official. Participants took the opportunity to donate cement, wheelbarrows, shovels, and trowels to Faso Mebo.
