Banwa High Commissioner Promotes Civic Education Among Students

Solenzo: The High Commissioner of Banwa Province, Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, accompanied by the Commander of BIR 18 Papa Parfait Kambou, police, and forestry officials, urged students in intermediate classes to be orderly, patriotic, and disciplined during the launch of civic education at the Banwa Provincial High School.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Civic and Patriotic Education (CPE) activities for middle school students commenced on Tuesday, January 13th, involving 1,619 students, with 1,310 in post-primary and 309 in secondary school. The initiative aims to instill values of orderliness, patriotism, and discipline among the youth.

The students were informed of the objectives of this initiative as they awaited further instructions for the start of the activities. Over a six-week period, the students will receive both theoretical and practical training provided by the security forces.

Mr. Sirima emphasized the importance of adhering to the instructors' guidance, aiming to develop model students who embody patriotism, support, and harmonious living. He stated that this guidance is part of the government's commitment to fostering responsible, disciplined, and united citizens devoted to their country. He called upon supervisors, teaching staff, and stakeholders to actively participate to ensure the success of these activities.
