Banwa High Commissioner Encourages Agricultural VDPs to Lead by Example in Their Communities

Banwa: The High Commissioner of the Banwa Province, Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, extended an invitation to the agricultural VDPs returning from a three-month training course in Solenzo to become role models by contributing to the development of their respective communes.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the agricultural VDPs from the communes of Sanaba and Balave were welcomed by the high commissioner of the province, the provincial director of agriculture Madou Coulibaly, and the development focal point Guy Hervis Coulibaly. They completed a 3-month and 10-day training at the center in Lena.

The delegate of the agricultural VDP, Kourouy¨ Coulibaly, expressed that the training was beneficial, as they gained knowledge in agricultural and fisheries entrepreneurship. "We have received adequate training on the mechanisms related to agriculture and also the practice of livestock farming. We are committed to meeting the challenges and enabling our country to have enough to eat," Kourouy¨ Coulibaly stated.

Sanfienale Joseph Sirima urged the participants to begin their work immediately, emphasizing that the earth holds untapped wealth. "We need to understand that success in life is not found in offices. We are very pleased to see you and we express our willingness to support you," Mr. Sirima conveyed to the agricultural VDP.
