Banwa: Administrative, traditional, and religious authorities celebrated Christmas with Christian worshippers at the Christian Alliance Church in Solenzo on Thursday, December 25, 2025. High Commissioner Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, along with traditional and religious leaders, joined the members of the Protestant Christian Alliance Church in prayers for peace in Burkina Faso, security throughout the country, and harmonious coexistence within the community.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Yacouba Ye, representative of the FAIB (Federation of Associations of Burkina Faso Churches), addressed the Christian worshippers, emphasizing unity and shared faith. "We are all the same, and we pray to the same God, so we came to pray with them that the coming of Jesus would bring peace," he stated, reinforcing the spirit of togetherness.
The Christmas celebration was marked by songs, prayers, blessings, and Bible readings, with the presence of various authorities adding to the solemnity of the occasion. High Commissioner Sirima extended his wishes for a Merry Christmas filled with health and peace to the Christian faithful across Banwa province, offering prayers and blessings for their well-being.
