Bank Windhoek Managing Director James Chapman emphasized the central role of SMEs in Namibia's economy, highlighting the need for greater support to achieve sustainable growth. He stated that the enhanced SME Value Proposition is designed to help businesses start, grow, and thrive through solutions spanning payments, e-commerce, business support, insights, and advisory services. Chapman pointed out that businesses embracing digital innovation are better positioned to improve efficiency, expand market reach, and remain competitive in an evolving economy. The enhanced proposition includes digital payment solutions, e-commerce support, business advisory services, and access to finance. The bank has been investing in digital capabilities to improve convenience, accessibility, and customer experience, including WhatsApp Banking, EasyPOS, and expanded e-commerce solutions. Chapman noted that secure and seamless payment systems are critical to business growth, and the bank's partnership with VISA strengthens trusted payment experiences for Namibian businesses operating locally and internationally. He further commented on the importance of customer experience, stating that the future of commerce will be digital, and economic growth will depend on businesses' ability to participate effectively in the digital economy. Customer feedback indicates that SMEs value responsive service, faster turnaround times, and banking partners that understand local business realities. Bank Windhoek's SME offering also incl udes overdraft facilities, business credit cards, trade finance, and term lending.
