Ouagadougou: The youth of Bam have pledged their dedication to upholding the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) as articulated by Captain Ibrahim Traore in April 2025. Julien Gansonre, the representative of the youth of Bam, made this affirmation during a gathering at the central roundabout of Kongoussi on Thursday evening. The event marked the official launch of the Committed Revolutionary Youth Initiative, overseen by the High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Ouedraogo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Gansonre emphasized the commitment of all youth structures in the province to the revolutionary cause, describing the RPP as a guiding force for the new generation. He expressed pride in the revolutionary efforts undertaken since the proclamation of the RPP and assured continued mobilization for this transformative cause.
The High Commissioner praised the youth’s strong mobilization, recognizing them as an essential component of the social transformation led by the country’s authorities. He highlighted that the initiative aligns with the RPP’s vision to enhance patriotic awareness and civic engagement among young people. He encouraged the youth to act as agents of change and contribute actively to the development of their communities.
Ouedraogo concluded by urging the youth of Bam to adopt responsible behaviors and engage in community-focused activities. The initiative includes various activities such as civic engagement days, educational talks, and awareness campaigns centered on civic and patriotic values.
Kibsa Nikiema, the provincial director in charge of youth in Bam, called on young individuals to embrace the initiative and contribute to solving development challenges in the province. The active participation of various youth organizations highlights their support for the program, which is scheduled to continue throughout the year.
The launch ceremony concluded with a popular cross-country race, attracting participants from diverse social backgrounds who demonstrated their commitment to this national endeavor.
