Bam: The mission officer to the Presidency of Faso for the Centre-North region, Issa Lagvar©, concluded a tour of the municipalities in the Bam province, urging the population to embrace the Presidential Initiative for Community Development (IPDC) to foster development in the region.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Lagvar©'s tour commenced on April 15, 2025, beginning with meetings with local authorities in Zimtanga and Nasser©. The tour proceeded through Tikar©, Rouko, Rollo, Guibar©, Sabc©, and concluded in Kongoussi on April 19. Assisted by Dr. Joseph Djolgou, Mr. Lagvar© praised the communities for their resilience and emphasized the importance of self-reliance in development efforts. He noted the strong mobilization and interest in the IPDC vision.
In Nasser©, Naba Kaongo, chief of the Kirgtenga canton, expressed gratitude for the initiative, recognizing its focus on security, economy, social issues, and the environment. He addressed the matter of internally displaced persons, expressing confidence in returning to farming activities in Nasser© if conditions improve.
During the Sabc© visit, Naba Kiiba of Rissiam showed support for Captain Ibrahim's development strategy. He appreciated Mr. Lagvar©'s efforts in promoting a consistent understanding of the initiative across communities. In Zimtanga, discussions were well-received, with participants like Fatimata Marie Sawadogo highlighting the need for women's training in promising sectors to support the initiative.
In Kongoussi, the focus shifted to the Popular and Progressive Revolution (PPR), with Dr. Moumouni Zoungrana elaborating on its implications and challenges. The tour also covered themes such as patriotism, civic engagement, and the agro-forestry-pastoral offensive throughout the municipalities visited.
