The High Commissioner of the province of Bam, Adama Jean Yves Béré welcomed on Tuesday March 14, 2023, the discipline observed by the population of Bam, relating to the curfew introduced from March 5 to 20 from 10 p.m. at 5am.
The High Commissioner was speaking on the sidelines of the first ordinary session of the Provincial Consultation Framework held on March 14, 2023.
“I would like to thank the entire population of the province who observes the curfew measures in discipline, despite the various constraints they impose,” he noted.
However, Adama Jean Yves Béré warned the population that the measure is subject to extension if circumstances so require.
“This measure being until March 20 and we will assess according to the evolution on the ground as to the need for its extension or not. But in due course, you will be informed,” he said.
He also informed the provincial opinion that voluntary subscription forms for the war effort are available at the High Commission for all those who wish to contribute.
As a reminder, the curfew was decreed for security reasons. Since its application, a vast operation to secure municipalities, prey to terrorist attacks, has been underway in Bam.
The commune of Bourzanga, which was cut off from Kongoussi, was even successfully worked overland.
