KONGOUSSI — In a significant celebration of educational achievement, the Bam provincial directorate of preschool, primary, and non-formal education (DPEPPNF) awarded laptops, tablets, bicycles, and certificates to approximately one hundred educational participants. The event, held on August 23, recognized outstanding teachers, students, schools, and parent-teacher associations in Bam province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the awards ceremony highlighted the efforts of the best teachers in the Certificate of Primary Studies (CEP), intermediate class instructors, top CEP students, leading primary schools, exceptional preschools, and the most proactive parent-teacher associations. The recipients received a range of prizes including laptops and tablets for teachers, bicycles and school kits for students, and essential equipment for schools and PTAs. Additionally, certificates of recognition signed by the governor of the Center-North region were distributed to commendable teachers.
Issaka Sana, acknowledged as the top CEP teacher for 2024 from sector 5 B school in Kongoussi, was notably celebrated for his impressive achievement of advancing 79 out of 81 candidates. He received a laptop in recognition of his efforts. Another teacher, Pascaline Bamogo, expressed gratitude for her tablet, which she saw as acknowledgment of her hard work and dedication to education.
Naba Ilboudo, the provincial director, during the event, extended his congratulations to all the awardees for their dedication and exemplary service in education. He also acknowledged the support of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Burkina and Plan International Burkina Faso in setting up the awards program.
Karim Ouédraogo, the secretary-general of Bam province, presided over the ceremony. He praised the organizational efforts of the provincial directorate and encouraged the winners to continue their impactful work with the same vigor.
