Bam High Commissioner Urges Public Officials to Uphold Integrity and Public Service

Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner calls on public officials to demonstrate integrity and a sense of public service. The High Commissioner of Bam Province, Karim Oudraogo, addressed public officials in Kongoussi, urging them to exhibit integrity, availability, and dedication in their duties. He emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-service collaboration and prioritizing the general interest above personal considerations.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner made these remarks during the first monthly national flag-raising ceremony of 2026 at the Kongoussi High Commission. The event was attended by the province's constituted bodies. Citing Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Oudraogo, the High Commissioner encouraged public officials to work in synergy, respect institutions, and adopt the credo of serving the Nation.

Highlighting the challenging environment, Mr. Oudraogo called on every public servant to be a model of integrity, availability, and dedication to the people of Bam province. He commended the exceptional work of technical services and public servants. The High Commissioner described the flag-raising as an act of faith in the Nation, symbolizing sovereignty, national unity, and commitment to republican values, marking the renewal of dedication to serving the State and its citizens.

Mr. Oudraogo also acknowledged the efforts of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in reclaiming national territory. He recognized the ongoing cooperation among constituted bodies, which helps maintain order, ensure safety, and promote communal harmony in Bam province.

In addition, he expressed appreciation for the contributions of customary and religious authorities, women's and youth associations, traders, artisans, market gardeners, citizen watch actors, and all social actors who enhance the province's resilience. Finally, the High Commissioner reminded attendees that the period from November 14, 2025, to January 31, 2026, is the Month of Solidarity, "Dme Sira," urging citizens to engage in actions supporting vulnerable individuals.
