Balé: Karantao N’Passamogo is the 13th King of Ouahabou

El Hadj Karantao N’Passamogo (58) was enthroned as the new King of Ouahabou this Sunday, during a ceremony marking the end of the funeral of the late leader El Hadj Karantao Karamogo.

El Hadj Karantao N’Passamogo is now the new King of Ouahabou.

He was enthroned on Sunday June 18, 2023 in front of a large crowd from several localities in the Balé province and the Marka country.

The new monarch was presented to the community during the ceremony marking the end of the funeral of his big brother, the late King, who died on June 11, 2023.

He thus became the 13th King of the kingdom of Ouahabou, founded by El Hadj Karantao Mamadou in 1868.

El Hadj Karantao N’Passamogo born in 1965 in Ouahabou, spent his whole life there until his enthronement.

Trained in Koranic education, he also became the religious guide of the community of Ouahabou.
