Baccalaureate Session 2026: Governor Thomas Yampa Urges the 5,265 Candidates to Be Disciplined and Diligent

Ouahigouya: The Governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yampa, has officially launched the 2026 baccalaureate exams, urging the 5,265 candidates to maintain discipline and diligence throughout the examination period. The launch took place at the Naaba Kango Vocational High School in Ouahigouya.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Governor Yampa emphasized that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure the exams are conducted smoothly. He encouraged the candidates to stay disciplined, focused, and diligent, expressing hope that each student would secure their diploma. The Governor reassured the public that special measures had been implemented in areas with significant security challenges to facilitate the participation of all candidates. He also appealed to parents and community leaders to support the exam process.

N©imatou B©lem, one of the candidates, expressed her anxiety but remained hopeful that the exam topics would be manageable, reflecting a year of hard work. The Regional Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, Drissa B©lem, advised students to apply their acquired knowledge thoughtfully and to avoid any fraudulent activities.

This year, 5,265 candidates, including 2,841 girls across various academic tracks, are undertaking the baccalaureate exams in the Yaadga region. The first set of results is anticipated on July 2, 2026.
