The 2022/2023 school year ended in the province of Namentenga with the proclamation of the final results of the Bac on July 5, 2023. The final results for the 2023 session are 28.10% of success. This represents 218 admitted out of the 758 candidates who responded to the call on June 20th.

The results were 37.17% at the 2022 session. According to the Provincial Director of Post-Primary and Secondary Education Yarbanga Abdoulaye, this drop in the success rate at the BAC 2023 is explained by the difficult security situation marked by the closure of classes and the disruption of educational activities in establishments that remained operational.

Also, the high proportion of internally displaced students among the candidates could explain the low results recorded, he said.
