Baccalaureate 2023: 1,511 candidates take part in the written tests in the Tuy

The High Commissioner of the province of Tuy, Issiaka Segda, officially launched this Tuesday, June 20, 2023, the written exams for the Baccalaureate 2023 at the departmental high school of Koumbia.

1,511 candidates, including 824 boys and 687 girls from series A and D, take part in the written exams for the 2023 Baccalaureate in the province of Tuy. They compose in 6 juries located in the municipalities of Houndé, Founzan and Koumbia.

It was at the Koumbia jury, newly erected as a Baccalaureate examination center, that the High Commissioner, Issiaka Segda, accompanied by the educational authorities of the province and the administrative and customary authorities of the locality, proceeded to the official launch of the written tests. .

This jury housed at the Koumbia departmental high school is made up of 176 candidates, including 113 from series A and 63 from series D. The symbolic opening of the envelope took place in room n°1 where around thirty students from series D were ready to tackle the French tests.

High Commissioner Issiaka Segda encouraged the candidates and reminded them of the challenge faced.

“As this is the first time that the Baccalaureate takes place in Koumbia, you must also be the first in the province of Tuy to obtain it,” he indicated.

The provincial authority has, moreover, reassured the candidates that the subjects will not go beyond the framework of the lessons they have received from their teachers during the school year.

The provincial director of post-primary and secondary education of Tuy, Hâté Sankara said that the session is going well.

“Practically we haven’t had any problems with the organization,” he said. He wished a good session to all the actors involved in the organization of the baccalaureate exam.
