Azerbaijan and Burkina Faso Strengthen Diplomatic Cooperation on 20th Anniversary


OUAGADOUGOU – President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso met with Elchin Oktyabr Oglu Amirbayov, an envoy from the President of Azerbaijan, on Thursday to mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The visit aimed to explore potential avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening ties between Burkina Faso and Azerbaijan in several key sectors, including energy, vocational education, mining, and humanitarian work. He emphasized the mutual respect that underpins the relationship and the shared commitment to advancing their common interests. Amirbayov noted that Azerbaijan values its relationships with African nations and has established strong cooperative ties with many countries on the continent.
