Ganzourgou: Authorities encourage school exam candidates in Zorgho: Accompanied by the president of the special municipal delegation of Zorgho, the provincial directors in charge of education as well as education partners, Ms. Sorgho/Gouba visited the Provincial High School of Zorgho, the composition center for the BEPC, then to the Amiti© “A” primary school where the candidates for the CEP compose.
According to Burkina Information Agency, in the various rooms visited, the High Commissioner gave advice to the candidates. “Don’t be in too much of a hurry, but don’t be slow either. Take the time to read the papers carefully and answer the questions calmly. This is no more than what you saw in class,” she reassured.
She also wished all the candidates success, adding that “luck is finding the right answer at the right time.” Ms. Sorgho/Gouba praised the commitment of all stakeholders involved in organizing the exams, and expressed the hope that Ganzourgou would rank among the top provinces in the region, and even in the country, following the results.
According to the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education, Nobila C©lestine Zagr©/Zoungrana, for this session, the province of Ganzourgou registered 8,027 candidates for the CEP, including 4,595 girls and 3,432 boys. They are distributed among 13 juries, 43 examination centers, and 168 composition rooms. More than 1,000 actors are mobilized for the smooth running of the tests, including 422 supervisors, 265 chaperones, 432 markers, and 55 secretaries.
Regarding the BEPC (Preliminary Examination Certificate), the provincial director of post-primary and secondary education, Mr. Barth©l©mie Boudaon©, specified that the province registered 3,043 candidates, i.e., 1,999 girls and 1,044 boys, spread across 12 juries and 35 secondary composition centers. For the CAP (Certificate of Professional Qualification) and BEP (Certificate of Vocational Education), there are 54 candidates, i.e., 21 girls and 33 boys.
After the roll call, statistics indicate 185 absences (66 girls and 119 boys) from the CEP and 47 absences (28 girls and 19 boys) from the BEPC. The visit by the authorities was well received by the candidates and the educational teams, who welcomed this gesture of support and encouragement.
