Hobart: Police in the Australian island state of Tasmania have launched an investigation into the death of a man whose body was found in an industrial garbage bin. Tasmania Police said on Monday that the body of the 45-year-old man was discovered at around 9 a.m. in a large industrial waste bin at a business in Bellerive, a suburb of the state capital of Hobart.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Detective Inspector David Gill stated at a press conference on Monday afternoon that it was not yet known how the man, who had been homeless for about two months, died. However, he was known to frequent the area and had last been seen alive by his children on Saturday night.
