AUF and CAMES Partner to Boost Doctoral Students’ Skills in Scientific Publishing

Ouagadougou: the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), in partnership with the African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education (CAMES), launched a three-day workshop on Friday to enhance the abilities of approximately thirty doctoral students in scientific publishing. Participants from various universities across Burkina Faso are attending the training designed to improve their skills in crafting and promoting scientific articles adhering to high academic standards.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the director of the AUF, the initiative is part of an international effort to prepare and support scientific publishing. The workshop aims to provide the doctoral students with advanced tools for developing scientific articles in French and is conducted by experts Professor Yvone Bonzi and Doctor Emmanuel Ouédraogo. Dr. Ouédraogo emphasized that the training covered essential aspects such as research methodology, scientific writing, and publication processes linked to artificial intelligence.

Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Nadège Tibri, a doctoral student, expressed satisfaction with the training’s quality, noting that it significantly enhanced her ability to produce a high-quality scientific paper. The program concluded with an invitation for attendees to submit their papers for consideration at the upcoming Francophonie Summer University in Morocco, where selected articles will be further refined for publication.
