CAPE TOWN – The Standing Committee on the Auditor-General is set to receive a comprehensive briefing from the Auditor-General of South Africa, Ms Tsakani Maluleke, regarding the municipal Material Irregularity report for the year 2023.

According to Parliament of South Africa, alongside this, the committee will also be updated on the 2022-23 Integrated Annual Report by the AG’s Audit Committee.

The briefing is expected to provide valuable insights into the state of financial management and accountability within South African municipalities, aligning with the committee’s oversight role over the Auditor-General’s office.
