Audience with the President of Faso: The Ministers of Security of the AES Receive Guidance from Captain Ibrahim TRAOR‚¬Å¡¬°

Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, who also serves as the President of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES), Comrade Captain Ibrahim TRAOR‚¬Å¡¬°, convened with the Ministers responsible for Security from the member countries of the AES Confederation on Wednesday. The meeting, held in Ouagadougou, aimed at discussing pivotal issues such as security and the facilitation of movement within the confederation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the attendees included Major General Mohamed TOUMBA, Niger's Minister of State, Minister of the Interior, Public Security and Territorial Administration, Oumar SOGOBA, the Representative of Mali's Minister of Security and Civil Protection, and Divisional Police Commissioner Mahamadou SANA, Burkina Faso's Minister of Security. This delegation sought guidance from Captain Ibrahim TRAOR‚¬Å¡¬°, the current President of the AES Confederation, as part of the AES Year 2 roadmap implementation.

Burkina Faso's Minister of Security, Mahamadou SANA, who acted as the delegation's spokesperson, emphasized that the central aim for the second year is to bolster the free movement of people and goods across the confederation. Alongside this, the meeting also served as a platform to enhance cooperation in security matters. Divisional Police Commissioner Mahamadou Sana highlighted the importance of reviewing the additional protocol on internal security and harmonizing roadside check procedures and mechanisms.
