OUAGADOUGOU – In an effort to cultivate civic and patriotic awareness, a delegation of students from Aube Nouvelle University visited the Grand Chancellery of Burkinabè Orders on Friday morning. The visit was designed to educate the students about the significance of the Burkinabè Orders in shaping the national identity of Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, around thirty students participated in the educational excursion. During their visit, they engaged with the Grand Chancellor, Brigadier General Pingrenoma ZAGRE, and attended presentations on the symbols of the nation and the Burkinabè Orders. The first presentation explored the history and significance of Burkina Faso’s national symbols, which include the national emblem, coat of arms, anthem, and motto. The second focused on the various Burkinabè Orders, their criteria for awarding, and the values they represent.
The students had the opportunity to discuss these topics with the presenters and asked questions, enhancing their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Grand Chancellery. They also received informational materials about the Burkinabè Orders to further their education on the subject.
The initiative was well-received by the students, who expressed appreciation for both the insight provided by the Grand Chancellery and the quality of the educational presentations.
