The African Trade and Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI) announced on December 13 its decision to grant a guarantee to the Emirati company Amea Power for a 20 megawatt solar energy project in Uganda. This project, developed by Ituka West Nile Uganda Limited, is set to enhance the region’s renewable energy capacity.
According to Africa News Agency, the support for this project in Uganda is being facilitated through its Regional Liquidity Support Facility (RLSF). The RLSF will provide payment guarantees on behalf of the Uganda National Electricity Company (Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited, UETCL), ensuring a stable financial foundation for the project’s success.
