ATI Launches Digital Initiatives to Boost Ethiopia’s Agricultural Markets

ADDIS ABABA — The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) has introduced two new digital projects aimed at improving the efficiency of the country’s agricultural market systems. These initiatives, the Development and Implementation of Digital Market Linkage Platform and the Automation of eVoucher 2.0, were officially launched today.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Deputy Director-General of ATI, the institute’s primary role is to identify and address challenges within the agricultural sector. These newly unveiled projects are part of ATI’s ongoing efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and market systems. The Digital Market Linkage Platform aims to facilitate better connections between farmers and the market, while the eVoucher 2.0 project is designed to streamline the distribution of agricultural inputs.

The initiatives are expected to support sustainable market practices, improve production, and ensure efficient distribution of agricultural inputs. Additionally, they will provide farmers with up-to-date market information and strengthen the linkages between producers and consumers, thereby minimizing market disruptions and enhancing the overall agricultural value chain in Ethiopia.
