The celebration concluded with a significant gathering at the central church of the Assemblies of God in Houndé, attended by key figures from the regional council of the AD, the national JAD, and local government officials. According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional JAD of Houndé, under the leadership of secretary general Sylvain Kiendrébéogo, commemorated four decades of religious and community service. The group has been involved in various activities including evangelism, church building, and social outreach programs assisting widows, orphans, and the needy. The event started with a Bible camp that attracted over 400 young participants, highlighting the engagement and commit ment of the youth in spiritual and community activities. "Today, we have more than 1,000 people gathered in the church for the closing ceremony," Kiendrébéogo noted, expressing satisfaction with the turnout and participation. Pastor Étienne Konkobo, the president of the national JAD, praised the founders and past members for their dedication and vision, which have been crucial in the growth and evolution of the JAD. He also emphasized the importance of humility and respect towards spiritual elders and encouraged the youth to continue in the footsteps of their predecessors. Dr. Michel Ouédraogo, the deputy coordinator of center No. 1, and Issiaka Segda, the High Commissioner of the province of Tuy, both commended the youth for their perseverance and unity. They highlighted the role of the youth as pivotal in both spiritual and physical realms of the community. The celebration also featured the presentation of a new bus acquired by the regional JAD of Houndé, symbolizing the progress and expansion of their a ctivities. Additionally, prayers for peace and security in Burkina Faso were a focal point of the closing ceremony. The Assemblies of God in the Houndé region comprises approximately 76 churches across four sub-regions: Boni, Bouahoun, Houndé, and Koumbia, representing a significant segment of the local Christian community.
