Kaya: The 42-kilometer Kaya-Barsalogho road is under construction. The paving of this road is a promise made by the President of Burkina Faso, Head of State, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traore, during his visit to Barsalogho on December 10, 2024.
According to Burkina Information Agency, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, one of our teams went to assess the situation. On site, agents from the Faso Mªbo brigade in Koulse were preparing to lay the surface course on the road already cleared by the military engineering corps. All the logistics were in motion: the asphalt paver, trucks filled with bitumen, tankers, compactors, among other equipment, with these enthusiastic men and women under the technical direction of Captain Ripper Ulrich Benin.
According to Commander Zoodnoma Ahmed SAKANDE, Coordinator of the Faso Mªbo Presidential Initiative: "This road has a right-of-way of 9 meters and we have a dynamic team at work. The work is progressing as we wish. We are sure of achieving the objectives set by the hierarchy, especially since the brave people have never stopped supporting us."
Indeed, the people of Barsalogho are delighted by the fulfillment of the promise made by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. According to the traditional chief of Barsalogho, Naaba Giguemde, Captain Ibrahim Traore, through this gesture, demonstrates his commitment to Barsalogho, and the population is grateful.
Opening up Barsalogho will strengthen security in the area, promote development and revive the economy of this town, once the economic heart of the entire region.
