Baku: The AS Justice team emerged victorious in the second edition of the "Maracana de la Paix Yanduaama" football tournament, securing a 2-0 win over FC Patriotes. The final match, held in Bogand©, attracted a diverse audience including administrative, customary, religious, military, and paramilitary authorities, along with local residents.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the tournament was initiated by justice actors in Bogand© to foster peace, social cohesion, and fraternity among the people of Gnagna province through sport. The event's closing ceremony was held under the patronage of the High Commissioner of Gnagna province, represented by Aboubacar Sory, the prefect and president of the special delegation of the commune of Liptougou. The ceremony was presided over by Ti¨rob¨man¨ Ars¨ne Som©, president of the High Court of Bogand©.

Prominent figures such as Sabane Ragnagm© Ou©draogo, President and CEO of Nabonswend© Transport Company (STNW), who sponsored the event, and Alice Bikienga/Lankoand©, the Provincial Coordinator of Women of Gnagna, who served as godmother, were in attendance. His Majesty Yempaabou, Chief of the canton of Bogand©, along with military and paramilitary authorities, also graced the occasion.

The winning team, AS Justice, received the trophy, a set of jerseys, cleats, balls, and a cash prize of 122,500 CFA francs. FC Patriotes, the runner-up, was awarded a set of jerseys, balls, and 94,500 CFA francs. The third and fourth-place teams were also rewarded with jerseys, balls, and cash prizes of 40,000 CFA francs and 30,000 CFA francs, respectively. All participating teams received a ball as a token of encouragement for their involvement.

Speakers at the event, including the sponsor, the president, and the godmother, lauded the initiative for using sport to promote peace, social cohesion, and community unity. They encouraged young participants to embrace fair play, tolerance, and solidarity.

With the success of its second edition, the organizing committee of the Maracana de la Paix 'Yanduaama', led by Tasser© Sankara, reaffirms its commitment to fostering civic values and strengthening peace in Gnagna province.
