AS Douanes Ready to Defend First-Leg Lead Against CR Belouizdad in CAF Champions League


ORAN — AS Douanes coach Kamou Malo expressed confidence in his team’s ability to defend their narrow 1-0 lead over CR Belouizdad in the second leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round. Speaking during a video press conference on Thursday, Malo emphasized that the Gabelous are prepared for the return leg, which will take place in Oran, Algeria.



According to Burkina Information Agency, his team is in high spirits following their first-leg victory in Bamako. He added that while they are not underestimating their opponent, they are well-prepared tactically to maintain their advantage. Malo, a veteran of matches on Algerian soil, highlighted the importance of playing with discipline and applying their trademark fast transitions to counter CR Belouizdad’s strengths on the wings.
