APEC Promotes Popular Shareholding in Northern Burkina Faso


OUAGADOUGOU: The focal point of the Northern region of the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC) conducted an awareness day on popular shareholding on May 25 in Ouahigouya.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Abdoul Gaïbarou Ouédraogo, APEC’s focal point in Ouahigouya, the session aimed to inform local stakeholders about financing businesses through community funds. Ouédraogo emphasized that APEC seeks to promote self-sufficiency without external assistance. Participants were encouraged to subscribe to the initiative, with a minimum share of 10,000 FCFA plus a 5,000 FCFA membership fee, which includes a membership card. The event, chaired by the High Commissioner of Yatenga province, Tasséré Nacoulma, concluded with calls for widespread participation and local support for the initiative.
