Luanda: Plenary sessions on Regulatory Challenges in the Digital Transformation Process and the Lunar Economy and International Cooperation will dominate the beginning of the second day of the 6th Edition of ANGOTIC-2026, which is taking place at the Talatona Conventions Center in Luanda. For the morning period, five parallel sessions are also scheduled on International Connectivity, Risk Management in the Supply Chain and IT Services Outsourcing, Consumer Protection in the Era of Digital Transformation, AI in the Modernization of Education, and Connecting Angola and Boosting Business with the Angola Telecom Transport Network.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the same day will also feature a plenary session on the theme Trust in the AI Era - Multimedia Authenticity, followed by others on Integrated Digital Operations, Unitel's Digital DNA - 25 years of Innovation, Connectivity and Inclusion. Among the topics to be discussed during the 2nd day are the Regulation of Communications in Angola, the Role of Satellite Communications in Digital Transformation, AI in the Energy Value Chain and Infrastructure, and Regulation and Innovation.
To close the day, national and foreign delegates will debate Mobile Payment Security and Fintech, Agile Government and Public Services Enhanced by AI, Startups and Businesses in the Space Sector, as well as the Use of Space Technology in Supporting Decision-Making to Combat the Effects of Climate Change. Officially opened on Thursday by the Minister of Telecommunications, IT and Mass Media, M¡rio Oliveira, the 6th Edition of the Angola International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies (ANGOTIC) runs until Saturday, under the motto "On the Road to Digital Transformation."
ANGOTIC - Angola ICT FORUM is the main Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) event in Angola, bringing together companies, startups, experts, academics, and government institutions annually in a venue for innovation, debate, and networking. The event aims to boost the country's digital transformation, promoting technological solutions that strengthen strategic sectors, from connectivity and cybersecurity to artificial intelligence and digital government.
The forum serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of innovations, and encouragement of digital entrepreneurship, bringing together the main players in the national and international technological ecosystem. The current year's Edition expects to attract 20,000 visitors, surpassing the 10,000 of 2025.
