Angola’s Ombudswoman Engages in International Congress on Women in Legal Careers

Bras­lia: Angola's ombudswoman, Florbela Araºjo, is actively participating in the 25th Congress of the International Federation of Women in Legal Careers (FIFCJ) in Bras­lia, Brazil. The congress, which commenced earlier this week, is dedicated to enhancing the involvement of women in upholding the rule of law and advocating for social justice.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the event has attracted women professionals from the legal field across the globe and is featuring robust discussions on pressing topics, including the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the justice system and gender-related issues.

On the opening day, attendees were engaged by lectures focusing on 'Artificial Intelligence and Gender Issues,' delivered by Carm©n Lºcia, the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil, and 'Artificial Intelligence and Protocols for Access to Justice,' presented by Amini Haddad, a magistrate from the Mato Grosso Court of Justice.

The Angolan delegation is comprised of prominent figures such as the president of the Red Cross, Delfina Cumandala, alongside judges and lawyers, showcasing a significant representation of Angolan women involved in legal and social professions.

The congress, which ends on Saturday, continues with thematic sessions, workshops, and experience sharing among jurists from different continents, reinforcing international cooperation and the role of women in promoting the rule of law and social justice.
