Angolan President Receives Message From CAR Counterpart

Luanda: Angolan Head of State Joo Louren§o received a message on Wednesday in Luanda from his Central African Republic (CAR) counterpart Faustin-Archange Touad©ra, as part of efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the message was delivered by CAR Finance Minister Herv© Ndoba, who highlighted Angola’s role in the pacification and stability process in CAR, within the framework of the Luanda Roadmap. Ndoba emphasized that CAR authorities continue to work on this roadmap, which has paved the way for peace and stability. The roadmap, developed with the help of Angola and other international partners, has been crucial in achieving political and military stability in CAR.

Ndoba discussed with the Angolan president, who is also the President of the African Union (AU), issues related to the political situation in CAR and the continent. He mentioned the importance of reporting to the AU President on the progress and current state of internal situations among member countries.

Ndoba assured that CAR is currently experiencing strong political and security stability, enabling the country to hold general and local elections at the end of the year. He noted that with established political and military stability, the focus is now on economic stability and development, indicating CAR’s progress towards development.

Ndoba also confirmed CAR’s participation in the US-Africa Summit, scheduled for June in Luanda. The US-Africa Business Summit, organized by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in partnership with the Angolan government and the Arena Group, will take place from June 22-25. The event will gather leaders from the public and private sectors of the USA and Africa, including heads of state, government officials, CEOs, and institutional investors.

Since 2010, the Central African Republic and Angola have engaged in cooperation agreements across various fields such as economic, technical, scientific, political, diplomatic, defense, and security.
