Angolan President Expresses Concern Over Severe Weather in Mozambique

Luanda: Angolan President Joo Louren§o on Tuesday expressed concern about the severe weather battering Mozambique, which has resulted in loss of life and property damage. The head of state conveyed his sentiments in a message to his Mozambican counterpart, Daniel Francisco Chapo.

According to Angola Press News Agency, President Louren§o offered his condolences to families who have lost loved ones in the natural disaster affecting Mozambique. He emphasized his confidence in the resilience of the Mozambican people, expressing hope that they will overcome this moment of adversity and proceed with determination in the recovery and reconstruction of affected areas and localities.

Government data reveals that at least 103 people have died and 173,000 have been affected since the beginning of the rainy season in Mozambique, which has declared a national red alert.
