Seville: The Angolan president and chairperson of the African Union, Joo Louren§o, conducted a series of significant working meetings with international leaders in Seville, Spain, during the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), which is set to conclude on Tuesday.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Joo Louren§o held discussions with the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between Africa and the Eurasian region. These discussions highlight the importance of fostering collaboration across continents.
In a separate meeting, the Angolan Head of State engaged with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal. The dialogue centered on analyzing bilateral relations and reinforcing multilateral cooperation between Angola and Ukraine, reflecting a mutual interest in strengthening ties.
Additionally, Joo Louren§o met with Philemon Yang, the President of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Their conversation revolved around the international agenda and the challenges associated with financing sustainable development, underscoring the significance of addressing global financial architecture reforms.
The FFD4 conference, organized by the United Nations, has brought together numerous world leaders and representatives from civil society in Seville. The conference aims to discuss and propose reforms to a global financial system that is widely considered unjust and inadequate for addressing the needs of developing countries.
