Luanda: Angolan Head of State, Joo Lourenço, left Luanda on Sunday for Lisbon to attend the inauguration ceremony of Portugal's newly elected President António José Seguro, scheduled for Monday (9). Upon his departure, Joo Lourenço was bid farewell by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa. According to Angola Press News Agency, António José Seguro was elected President of the Republic in the second round of the presidential elections on 8 February this year, securing 66.84% of the votes against André Ventura, leader of the Chega party. The inauguration ceremony is planned for 10:00 am on 9 March, in front of the Assembly of the Republic (Parliament), in the presence of the outgoing Head of State, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
