Angolan President Congratulates DRC Counterpart on National Independence Day

Luanda: Angolan President Joo Louren§o on Monday sent a message of congratulations to his Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) counterpart, F©lix Tshisekedi, on the occasion of the celebration of the country’s National Independence Day, marked on June 30.



According to Angola Press News Agency, the Angolan Head of State expressed, on behalf of the Executive and himself, wishes for prosperity and stability for the Congolese nation. He underlined his desire for the day to mark the beginning of a new stage in the DRC’s journey, emphasizing peace, reconciliation, and social development.



Louren§o conveyed his hope that the Democratic Republic of Congo, by celebrating this special day, would be able to open a new chapter in its challenging journey. He emphasized the importance of creating conditions for coexistence in a true spirit of peace and national reconciliation, benefiting the development and social progress of the Congolese nation.



The message also highlighted the historical ties of friendship and consanguinity between Angola and the DRC. Louren§o reaffirmed Angola’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields.
