LUANDA: Angola Head of State João Lourenço on Thursday congratulated Donald Trump on his election as President of the United States of America. ‘On behalf of the Angolan Government and myself, I have the honor of congratulating you on your election as President of the United States of America,’ said the Angolan president in a message made public.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Angolan statesman noted that Donald Trump was elected with results that clearly indicate the American people have placed their trust in him and in the governance policies he will outline for the next four years, aiming to realize their aspirations for prosperity and building a strong and confident America for the future.
João Lourenço expressed confidence in the continuation of successful efforts made between Angola and the United States to build a solid foundation for strengthened mutual trust, anticipating substantial reciprocal benefits and advantages from their bilateral relationship.
The Angolan president also convey
ed his belief that as Trump takes office as the 47th President of the United States, he will leverage his dynamism, experience, and energy to contribute to addressing critical global issues such as peace, food, and energy security, which require concerted international action.
