According to Angola Press News Agency, the Brazilian diplomat expressed her willingness to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations within the framework of relations with the parliamentary functional bodies of her country. Eug©nia Barthelmeses emphasized the dynamic and important nature of the parliamentary cooperation between Angola and Brazil, highlighting its foundation on a relationship of great trust and its significant diplomatic role.
The diplomat mentioned that the visit of the Angolan Head of State, Joo Louren§o, to the Federative Republic of Brazil is being prepared through diplomatic channels. Although no specific date was provided, she noted that discussions for the upcoming visit to Braslia are actively underway.
Eug©nia Barthelmeses pointed out that joint cooperation activities between Brazil and Angola span various traditional and historical areas, including agriculture, education, food security, training, and health. She noted the frequent exchange of technical cooperation missions between the two countries, which has been evident since her arrival in Angola.
Additionally, the diplomat announced that Brazil will host the COP30 at the end of this year, highlighting it as a pivotal global meeting focusing on climate change and sustainable development. She expressed optimism about the potential for collaborative efforts with Angola, given their shared historical profiles and ambitions for sustainable development and climate change mitigation.
