Luanda: During the third quarter of this year, Angola earned approximately 6.29 billion U.S. dollars, which marks a 9.25% increase compared to the second quarter of 2025, the Secretary of State for Oil and Gas, Jos© Barroso, announced on Thursday.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Barroso presented the sector’s third-quarter results, highlighting that the earnings resulted from the export of 90.95 million barrels of crude oil. This volume of exports represented a 7.19% increase compared to the previous period.
Barroso noted that the weighted average price was 69.163 USD per barrel over the last three months. He identified China, India, Indonesia, and Spain as the primary destinations for Angolan oil, with China receiving 59.63%, India 8.59%, Indonesia 7.61%, and Spain 4.13% of the exports.
In addition to oil, natural gas exports totaled around 1.63 million metric tons during the same period, with liquefied natural gas (LNG) accounting for 88.62% of the total. This volume represented a 22.03% increase compared to the second quarter.
The value of exported gas was approximately 900.7 million US dollars, an 18.36% increase from the previous quarter. The growth was attributed mainly to the rise in gas prices on the international market. The majority of LNG was exported to Asia, with India being the main destination, accounting for 57.03% of the total volume.
